2nd Grade Carnivorous Plant Field Trip
Ms. Crawley's 2nd grade class has been helping Eastover Science grow Venus Fly Traps, Pitcher Plants, and other carnivorous plants that will be ready to plant outside in the spring. To help further their interest, Eastover Science is taking the entire 2nd grade on a field trip to see UNCC's large selection of carnivorous plants. There is collection carnivorous plants found in the southeast, but they also have several exotic species found in other parts of the world. The students will get a chance to tour the greenhouse and gardens. One section of the greenhouse has a dinosaur surrounded by plants that were common during the Jurassic Period. The field trip is planned for May 8th.
